Volunteers Needed!

Our Nutrition for Learning Snack Program is amazing! We need your help! Can you spare about 30 minutes once a week(or maybe two) to come in before school to help put the snacks into cooler bags? It’s really easy and fun! We need more help this year! Mrs. Kuepfer and Mrs. Flood are the coordinators. Please see the attachment for more information. There will be a sign up section at the Open House tomorrow evening! Please help!

What’s Happening This Week…

Thank-you to our students/staff, and Parents for a wonderful start to the school year! We are building our routines and enjoying getting to know one another! Please review the homework policy of St. Teresa School. It is attached below. We do our very best to not assign homework on the weekends or over holidays. The exception may be when a student has been away or when a student is working on a longer term project. The purposes of homework are mostly threefold: to complete something already started at school, to review and practice something already learned, or to take a sneak-peek at some new learning coming up(eg. looking up a website online to learn a bit about electricity the night before the unit starts). In Primary/Early Years, building those routines for homework is the biggest benefit. Thank-you!

School Starts Tomorrow!

Welcome Back Tigers!

On behalf of the school staff, welcome to the beginning of a new and exciting school year at St. Teresa School! The staff of St. Teresa are looking forward to working with you and your child/children to make our school a faith-filled community committed to learning in an environment where each child can reach their full potential.   Just a reminder that school starts this Tuesday at 9:20 am.  We will gather on the blacktop for a school prayer and introductions before students go to class. In the case of rain, we will gather in the gymnasium.

Agendas have been ordered for all students from Grades 1 to 8. Agendas are an invaluable learning tool not just for school but help us teach life-long skills of organization. The cost for Agendas remain the same as last year, $6.00. Students can start bringing agenda money as early as tomorrow to receive their agenda.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend and we look forward to seeing you on Tuesday! Go Tigers!
