Food Drive Announcement from Social Justice

St. Teresa Food Drive 2018

It’s time once again to help those in need. Yes, it’s our Christmas Food Drive, which will take place from Thursday, December 6 to Tuesday, December 18, 2018.

This year our Food Drive will once again be organized by our Social Justice Club. Serving the less fortunate brings great satisfaction to those we serve, but also to those who give. You have shown great generosity over the past number of years by giving to our neighbours during all of our Food Drives.

Thank you for helping us help others and bringing smiles to both children and adults who need our assistance all year round.

We ask each class for the following, but you are not limited to:

Mrs. Runions JK/SK- Instant Oatmeal & Breakfast Cereal

Ms. Chaney JK/SK- Pasta & Mac & Cheese

Angel Tree Information

It’s that time of year again, Tigers! The Social Justice Club is ready to kick off the Angel Tree campaign today!

Your child brought a permission form home on Friday explaining this campaign. To participate, parents must sign the green permission form indicating that you give permission for your child to take a tag from the tree. Each tag represents and gender and age of a child, or a parent/grandparent. With permission, your student can take a tag from the Angel Tree and your family can buy a gift for the child. Then, your child will bring the gift back to school (unwrapped, tag taped onto it) to place under the tree.  Gift ideas include toys, small clothing items (e.g. hat, socks), school supplies, and personal items (e.g. hair bands, nail polish, body wash). Gift cards are also welcome to bless whole families (eg. grocery cards, Giant Tiger cards). Please return your gift and tag to the school by Tuesday December 18th, 2018.
Thank you for helping make Christmas a little brighter for families in the greater KW community!

Sincerely,
The St. Teresa Social Justice Club
