Water Issues in Kitchener

Good morning St. Teresa Families,

There has been a water main break this morning at King and Cameron Streets in Kitchener. It is affecting some parts of Kitchener, including some schools(and our school). We have been told that City of Kitchener crews are working hard to fix this break and have the water back up and running within an hour. School is open. We will be in contact if there are any changes or long delays. Thank-you.

Happy Easter to all the St. Teresa School and Church Community! We hope you all had a wonderful Easter with your friends and families!

What’s Happening This Week…EARTH WEEK! Please see the attachment for all the wonderful activities the ECO team is putting on. A reminder that each day will be a “boomerang” lunch day. This means that students are strongly encouraged to leave any items for snacks/lunches that contain garbage at home. Any refuse/packaging brought to school that can’t be recycled will be “boomeranged” back home with the students. Many schools have a “boomerang lunch” policy in place every day. June BBQ- Important Request

Dear St. Teresa Families,

As many of you know, over the last 30 years or so we have held a very successful June BBQ! This event has been a wonderful community event, raising funds for many school activities and projects. We are very thankful. Unfortunately, the volunteer coordinator(s) who have taken on this rewarding event in the past are not able to coordinate/spearhead this event this year. We don’t like the idea of not having a BBQ, but we are just not able to take on this project without more help/volunteers from the school community. If you are interested in taking on this role, or have a group of people who would be willing to take on the planning of the June BBQ and to help volunteer at the BBQ, please send a note to school or call Mrs.  Lavigne and let her know your interest by April 30th.

Thank you for your support of St. Teresa’s students, teachers, staff and community.

On behalf of the St. Teresa Catholic School Advisory Council

Barbara Daly
