Monday:
• Orange Shirt Day.

Orange shirt day is an annual event that started in 2013 to recognize the legacy of Residential school system for First Nations, Metis and Inuit families and communities. It is a show of support and understanding of the history of the school system that impacts many First Nations, Metis, and Inuit people today.
The phrase “Every Child Matters” reminds everyone that children are such an important and integral part of our communities and that they are our future generations of changemakers. By wearing an orange shirt, we have an opportunity to bring awareness to the history of residential schools and to stand up against other injustices that may impact our children/students.

High School Volunteers Needed!

St. Teresa Families,

If you have a child in your family currently in secondary school who is earning volunteer hours(or already has enough), we could use some volunteers to help with raffle ticket sales and with the bbq on Tuesday. We could also use help with chromebooks in helping parents sign up for School Cash Online. We would require help from about 4:30 until just after 6:30 pm. This is an excellent opportunity to help out a little and have fun too!

Please call the school and let us know if your high school aged son/daughter can help out next Tuesday evening. (519)743-2131.

Go Tigers!

Safety Drills

St. Teresa Families,

This morning our school practised a number of safety drills as a school community. They included a lockdown drill, tornado drill, and fire drill.

All the students were safe and did a great job following the teacher’s instructions. We will continue to practice several more fire drills this fall.

If you have any questions about these drills, please don’t hesitate to contact Mr. Goodyear at the school. Our number one role is to keep our students safe.

Thank-you.
