St. Teresa Parish Update

Come Holy Spirit, Come!

This Sunday, we celebrate Pentecost, and with evening prayer (Vespers) on Sunday, we will end the Easter Season and begin Ordinary Time. I would like to invite all of you to join me for Mass on Sunday at 10:00 a.m., as we celebrate the birth of the Church.

This week, in the Parish Bulletin, you will find a section dedicated to the Holy Spirit – The Gifts and Fruits of the Holy Spirit and how we can be transformed by the workings of the Holy Spirit, in our lives. May we grow in Wisdom, Knowledge, Understanding, Counsel, Piety, Fortitude, and Fear of the Lord.
Pope Francis to pray the rosary with the Shrines of the world this Saturday at 12:30 p.m. (Toronto time)
The Pontifical Council for Promoting the New Evangelization announces that Pope Francis is to join Marian shrines across the world, to pray to the Virgin Mary for help amidst the pandemic. These include Lourdes, Fatima, Lujan, Milagro, Guadalupe, San Giovanni Rotondo and Pompeii. You may join this event following this link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M-RFWoMT574&feature=emb_title

May Birthday Celebrations!

Birthday Celebrations!
Here are our student birthday celebrations from May!
We’re not able to celebrate together right now, but we’d like to wish all our students who had birthday during this time a very special day! Parents, we usually play the “Birthday Polka” on Wednesdays on the announcements for all our students celebrating birthdays that week! However, our website won’t permit this song to be added. Our older students especially like singing and dancing to the beat. They ALL know the words! It starts like this….”We’re so happy it’s your birthday. It’s a very special day… ’cause this day you were born and so we want to say…….”

Happy Birthday to the following students:

May 1st- Nicolas E, Lauren R.

May 5th- Isis S.

May 6th- Fernando T.

May 9th- Joseph C.

May 12th- Isabella P.

May 13th- Chloe C.

May 14th- David R.

May 17th- Max M.

May 18th- Tyson S.

May 20th- Jazlyn M., Ryder V.

May 22nd- Alex G.

May 25th- Max M., Dylan N.

Happy Birthday!

St. Teresa Parish Update

Dear Parishioners,

Christ has risen, and Ascended into Heaven, Alleluia!
As we enter this final week of the Easter Season, it is hard to believe, that we have not been able to gather, to celebrate this very special Liturgical Season. I wish to, once again, thank you for your prayers and continued support of our parish community. We are very blessed to continue to maintain a strong parish family – a family of faith and mutual support.
This week, in the Parish Bulletin, you will find a section dedicated to the Blessed Virgin Mary. May, is traditionally a month dedicated to honouring her. I encourage you to read the article and make use of the suggestions, in a special way, during this month. Usually, this is also a time when the School Children gather for a May Crowning. This, unfortunately, will not happen this year, but I have included an activity in this week’s bulletin for the children. I hope that they will respond to my request, so that we may have a large “bouquet” of creations to display in front of the statue of Our Lady, in the church, on May 30th. Please see the bulletin for more details. Pope Francis, is also encouraging us to pray the Rosary, during the month of May and so I invite you to join us for our Marian Devotions, following the Eucharist, Tuesday to Saturday.
This Sunday is World Day for Social Communications. Please refer to the bulletin for the Message of His Holiness, Pope Francis, to mark this occasion.
Today marks the beginning of the Novena for Pentecost. I invite you and encourage you, to join me during the Marian Devotions, as we pray together, to prepare for Pentecost. For those who are unable, please take advantage of the attached PDF, to pray at home, for the Gifts of the Holy Spirit.
For those, who wish, you may also want to access a Novena Retreat for Pentecost, prepared by St. Augustine Seminary, in Toronto. The talks are approximately 30 minutes and will be available each day, after 7 a.m., on YouTube and Facebook. Here is the link to St. Augustine Seminary:https://staugustines.on.ca/about/events/novena_retreat_for_pentecost You can click on the format you wish to use.
I continue to celebrate Mass and the Divine Mercy Devotion, according to the schedule below, so I hope you will join us, on Zoom. It is encouraging to see that more and more people are following us every day. For your convenience, I have again included the link and password for the online streaming:
