Playground Renewal Update
|As we heard in the June 26, 2017 Creative Playground Update, a lot of work has been going on behind the scenes; planning and raising funds for our Playground Renewal project. School Council also committed to repair the current structure to ensure it is not removed before we have met our fundraising goal of $50 000 for a new creative playground.
To date the St. Teresa School Community has raised over $16 000 that is dedicated to the playground renewal fund. That is no small feat for a small community like ours. We are 30% of the way to our goal
At the November 14, 2017 School Council meeting, the Playground Project Proposal and Sponsorship request letter was presented. Both documents were supported by Council and our Principal, giving us the needed support to begin seeking funding from outside our immediate school community.
The Playground Renewal Committee is planning to meet before the year is over. We will be discussing our fundraising campaign for the remaining school year that goes beyond the immediate St. Teresa School family. Come and contribute your ideas.
Date: Tuesday December 5th
